Every morning I listen to NHK radio here we can learn Japanese live and listen to Japanese cultural music with enthusiastic announcers. I really like listening to NHK radio since 2010. Here I use a cheap radio for only 4 dollars type Radio international F-100 . The signal is quite good from the Indonesian metro, Especially in the morning

The English service of Radio Japan from their transmitter site in Palau, which targets South West Asia. This recordings was made from North America, which is in the exact opposite direction of where the broadcast is meant to be received. Despite this, the reception of this station is rather strong and thus very listenable in my location in the Mid-Western US.

This recording was made on October 4, 2014 at 14:00 UTC on 11705 kHz. This recording was made with a Tecsun PL-600 with telescopic antenna with a length of wire attached.

NHK Radio Japan: April 21, 2014

SWLing Post reader, Chris, has just shared a recording of NHK World he made while traveling in Peru on Monday (April 21st, 2014).

He took the photo above where he made this recording in the picturesque coastal town of Máncora.

Chris recorded this broadcast starting at 10:00 UTC on 9,625 kHz with a Sony ICF-SW7600G and using a Sangean ANT-60 antenna. The actual recording was made with Chris’ Sony ICD SX712digital recorder and he uploaded it using a Dell Windows 8.1 (8 inch) tablet.
